BIGGEST 3D RAPID PROTOTYPE PRINTER IS LAUNCHED

The industry’s biggest 3D rapid prototyping printer, which produces very large, full colour, high-resolution models from CAD data within hours, is now available from UK supplier Rapid Techniques.

The new, versatile ZPrinter 650, specially designed for a wide range of manufacturing and engineering applications, can also be used to generate multiple, smaller models simultaneously.

It is able to deliver high colour quality and consistency thanks to the addition of a dedicated black print head to the standard cyan, magenta, yellow and clear colours, says Rapid Techniques.

The ZPrinter650 not only boasts a substantial build size of 254 x 381 x 203mm, but also a 600 x 540 dpi resolution for producing accurate models in fine detail and claims to be up to 10 times faster than other systems on the market.

As well as being extremely user-friendly with fully automatic set-up and monitoring, the printer benefits from an all-in-one, self-contained design that makes it easy to fit into an office environment.
